From bustling weekly markets to year-round indoor shopping from your favourite local vendors, you’re sure to find one that’s close to home. Let’s explore a few of the top farmers’ markets in Edmonton you should check out this summer!

Please note: Start and end dates for seasonal markets usually run from early May until the first week of October, but they may vary. Check the website of each farmers’ market beforehand to confirm they are open the week you want to visit!

The Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market (OSFM) 

Location: 10310 83 Ave NW
Days and Times: Saturdays from 8 am – 3 pm

The Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market is the oldest and one of the most popular farmers’ market in Edmonton. OSFM offers a great variety of fresh locally-sourced produce, as well as freshly baked goods, homemade preserves, local coffee roasters, artisan crafts and much more. The market is held every Saturday year-round from 8 am – 3 pm in the heart of Old Strathcona. You’ll find free parking across the street while it’s open or you can even make a little adventure out of it and bike there on a dedicated path that runs right past the market.

124 Street Grand Market

Locations: 118th St & 124th Ave or 102nd St & 124th Ave
Days and Times, Thursdays from 4 – 8 pm, Sundays from 11 am – 3 pm

The 124 Grand Market is held every Thursday afternoon in the summer from 4 – 8 pm at the corner of 118 Avenue and 124 Street. You can also explore their second location a little further South on 102 Avenue on Sundays from 11 am – 3 pm. Featuring over 50 vendors, this market offers a diverse selection of local produce, preserves, crafts, food trucks and more. Whether you’re on the hunt for good eats, tasty treats or some free local entertainment, you’ll find it here!

Callingwood Farmers’ Market

Location: 6655 178 St NW #238
Days and Times: Sundays from 11 am – 3 pm

The Callingwood Farmers’ Market has been running since 1983 – making it one of the longest-running farmers markets in Edmonton. Held every Sunday from 10 am – 3 pm at the Callingwood Twin Arena, this market offers an abundance of locally grown fruits and vegetables, as well as artisan crafts, prepared foods and more. 

Edmonton Downtown Farmers’ Market

Location: 10305 97 St NW
Days and Times: Saturdays 9 am – 3 pm, Sundays 11 am – 3 pm

For something a bit different, the Edmonton Downtown Farmers’ Market is definitely worth checking out this summer. Established in 1903, they are proud to be Edmonton’s oldest Farmers’ Market, located in a historic building with free parking nearby. With a diverse range of offerings, from locally-grown Organic produce to hand-crafted artisan goods, this farmers market is providing an affordable and welcoming family-friendly environment that is accessible to everyone. With yoga classes, an art gallery, and two floors to explore, there is something for everyone at the Edmonton Downtown Farmers’ Market.

Bountiful Farmers’ Market

Location: 3696 97 St NW
Days and Times: Fridays 10 am – 3 pm, Saturdays 9 am – 4 pm, Sundays 10 am – 4 pm

This southwest Edmonton farmers market is the perfect place to find fresh, locally-sourced produce and other goods. Located inside a reclaimed industrial building, this massive year-round farmers market offers a wide selection of fruits, vegetables, baked goods, artisan crafts and more from local vendors. 

Held every Friday and Sunday from 10 am – 3 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am – 3 pm, this massive farmers market is open all weekend long and sure to have something for everyone! Whether you’re looking for organic produce or freshly made preserves, you’ll find it here. So come on down and explore all that the Bountiful Farmers’ Market has to offer!

St. Albert Farmers’ Market

Location: Downtown St. Albert on St. Anne Promenade, St. Thomas Street and St. Anne Street
Days and Times: Saturdays from 10 am – 3 pm

The St. Albert Farmers’ Market is one of the largest farmers markets in the Edmonton area and has been serving the area since 1983. Featuring over 270 vendors, this market offers a wide range of locally-sourced produce, fresh fish, artisan crafts, prepared foods and more. You’re sure to find something for everyone at this bustling farmers market that features many popular local businesses. Open every Thursday from 4 – 8 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am – 3 pm, the St. Albert Farmers’ Market is the perfect place to get your hands on the freshest produce around town! There is free parking available, but it is limited so it’s best to get here early so you can find a spot.
